This blog has been set up to compile any errors in my book, Game Sound, published by MIT Press in 2008. You can find more information on it on my website, www.gamessound.com
Being the first to compile a lengthy academic history of game audio, there will inevitably be errors. I have tried to minimize these wherever possible by consulting with as many original documents and people in the industry who have read the book in advance of its publication. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that errors will still arise, so I invite contributions indicating factual inaccuracies or errors here. Please, keep discussion polite.
If there are interesting additions to the knoweldge, feel free to post those as well. Let's share this information so we can work to create a definitive history while these people are still alive to ask!
If you were involved in game audio production at any point in the history, feel free to contact me. I'd love to hear about your involvement
I'll point out my own first error: in Chapter 2 (p. 7), Raymond Moloney's name was spelled wrong (as Maloney).

On page 58 there's an error in the description of the channels of the Ultimate Soundtracker. Melody and lead should probably be the same channel. The 4th channel was normally percussion.
